Co-curated by Bruce Weber, Director of Research and Exhibitions at Berry-Hill, and Pepi Marchetti Franchi, Guest Curator, Intimate Revelations: The Art of Carroll Beckwith (1852-1917) is the first exhibition to be held of the artist's work since his death more than eighty years ago. Consisting of over sixty oils, watercolors, pastels, and drawings, this display will span the artist's important career as a portraitist, figure and landscape painter. Many major private collectors and museums are lending to this exhibition, including the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Wadsworth Atheneum, the Mead Art Museum, the Mark Twain House, and the Arnot Art Museum. A fully illustrated catalogue accompanies the exhibition.
