In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries the rose absorbed the attention of many American artists, which resulted in some of our finest works of Art. This exhibition dealt with the significance of roses in works by numerous artists, including Martin Johnson Heade, Childe Hassam, John Singer Sargent, and Winslow Homer.

Exhibition curated by Dr. Bruce Weber, Director of Research and Exhibitions at Berry-Hill Galleries.
